Awesome digital products and media are based on solid concepts, world class UX and clever information architecture. And they solve real problems.
As product designer, I take pride in early mapping of all stakeholders and affected users. Having a clear idea about the user you are designing for is key to nailing and providing them with a good experience. I’m a big fan of the jobs-to-be-done framework that helps giving insights to how a product serves the users from the user’s perspective.
I work best with assistance from visual / UI designers, as my best work is basically invisible, mapping out the flows and overall experience for a user. That said, I can do basic visual design and UI design too and make things work balancing aesthetics and functionality.
I’m in no way religious about tools, platforms, frameworks and methodologies. I like using what ever is best suited for the job and for the team to progress and work together as smooth as possible. I thrive working with other dedicated lopers and designers finding the best way forward for everyone.
I fit in naturally in the early stages of creating new products or media outlets. Doing the ground work and setting off with a good, solid foundation.
Making sure that the right product is being build, and that the product is being build right. That is the right way to go.
Get help navigating the muddy waters of new beginnings. Learn when to say no, and when to say yes. When to think about scalability and when to focus on getting things done.
